Family Scouting

Starting in February of 2019, the Boy Scouts of America program known as Boy Scouting will become Scouts BSA.  This change is significant in that girls ages 11-17 will be able to participate in the scouting program that allows them to earn merit badges and the rank of Eagle Scout.  Detailed information about this exciting new chapter in scouting can be found on the National BSA website which can be found here.

"Girls with Dreams become Women with Vision"  -  unknown author

Troop 2970 has already set the foundation for implementing the family scouting program for our chartering organization.  Adult leadership is in place and several young women have already shown interest to become founding members in our troop for girls. There is great energy and enthusiasm within Troop 2970, and we would love to have you be a part of the first year.

2019 Welcomes our first patrol for girls!

Congratulations to our new members!
