Scouts BSA Troop 2970, sponsored by Our Savior’s Way Lutheran Church in Ashburn, serves youth from all parts of eastern Loudoun County, Virginia.
Troop 2970 provides an outstanding program created by youth leadership for youth participation. With a huge variety of activities including: camping, hiking, biking, canoeing, snow sports, national event participation, local activities, high adventure and regular summer camps, with a strong commitment to District and NCAC Council events, there is something to please everyone.
Troop 2970 is youth led using the patrol system and EDGE method. The senior patrol, consisting of the most seasoned and experienced members offers leadership and guidance to younger scouts. Our adult leadership has over 20 years of experience assisting young men and women to dream, execute and experience scouting’s ideas to the fullest.
Our mission is to prepare the youth members to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
